KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 -- Binhai New Area in Tianjin, China has integrated cutting-edge technologies into life to better serve the people, letting everyone feel the power of science and technology.
State Grid Corporation of China’s Tianjin Binhai New Area branch has deployed an intelligent early warning system for distribution station in some pilot areas within the eco-city which gives accurate on-line early warning and monitoring of potential partial discharge hazards, letting users enjoy the ‘zero power outage’ service.
In Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city, the free smart bus is able to sense and identify vehicles, vulnerable groups on the road and traffic lights in the surroundings.
It is also able to achieve automatic acceleration, deceleration, steering, emergency braking, lane changes and other functions, according to a statement from the Media Convergence Center with Tianjin Binhai New Area.
On one's way driving home, there are intelligent traffic lights at the eight key intersections near the Rainbow Bridge, which can be adjusted and dispatched according to the real-time traffic conditions by sensing the traffic flow and queuing length.
At China-Singapore Friendship Library, all kinds of self-service devices can be found. The library enables navigation services to help borrow books and book-returning via facial recognition and it has a free-walking intelligent robot, ‘Little Library’ to serve readers.
